Jose Aguado

José M. Aguado is Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Head of the Infectious Diseases Unit of the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid. Completed their training at the Institute of Transplantation, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
He is past- Chairman and currently Scientific Officer of the Study Group of Infection in Compromised Patients (ESGICH) of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). Member of the International Council of the International Immunocompromised Host Society.
Coordinator of the Program of Transplant Infections of the Spanich National Network of Infectious Diseases (REIPI). Assistant Editor of Transplant Infectious Diseases.
He has published over 380 articles, most of them related to the infection in transplant recipients and other immunocompromised patients.
