Methee Chayakulkeeree is associate professor at the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine of the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dr. Chayakulkeeree received Board of Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty Board of Infectious Diseases in 2002. He pursued further training as a research fellow in Molecular Mycology at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, USA, and received his PhD in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from the University of Sydney, Australia. His research work during training and PhD thesis were focused on molecular pathogenesis of cryptococcosis.
Dr. Chayakulkeeree is currently a clinician and researcher with area of interest in fungal infections and infection in immunocompromised hosts. He is a Board Member of Asia Fungal Working Group (AFWG). He is affiliated with various local and international medical societies, including the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), Global Action Fund for Fungal Infection (GAFFI), Infectious Diseases Association of Thailand (IDAT) and the Thai Medical Mycology Forum (TMMF). He has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has written several book chapters on infectious disease.
