Fanny Lanternier is Associate Professor in the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the Hôpital Universitaire Necker-Enfants malades in Paris and Paris Descartes University. Her research activity is in Molecular Mycology Unit, Pasteur Institute.

She obtained her medical degree from the Paris University V in 2006 and PhD in Immunology in 2013 in Human Genetic of Infectious Diseases Unit on immunogenetic etiology of invasive fungal diseases. She contributed to clinical trials and translational researches.

Her key research interests include immunogenetics of invasive fungal diseases, diagnostic strategy, and treatment of fungal infections, mucormycosis, and other infectious diseases. She is a member of the 2009 ECIL Mucormycosis guidelines, and of the 2013 ESCMID and ECMM antifungal guidelines.
