Mihai Mares

Dr. Mihai Mares received his PhD degree in Microbiology at “Gr.T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Iași-Romania (2005) and had postgraduate training at prestigious institutions from France, Spain, Sweden, and Denmark. His areas of interest are medical mycology, antimicrobial agents and antimicrobial resistance, biofilms and translational research. He established in 2007 the Romanian Society of Medical Mycology and Mycotoxicology. Now, he occupies a permanent position as full professor of Microbiology and Head of the Laboratory of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy at Ion Ionescu de la Brad University in Iasi (Romania).
