ECMM increases Outreach to Latin America and partners with INFOCUS

The ECMM is proud to announce a partnership with INFOCUS, the most comprehensive and relevant meeting in the field of Medical Mycology in Latin America. INFOCUS was created in 2003 in Brazil and to date 16 successful editions of INFOCUS were hosted in 5 different countries in Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. In the last 3 editions, INFOCUS had the active participation of more than 500 attendees, including graduate students, health care workers from reference medical centers and Universities form Latin America, key leaders in the field of medical mycology, and representatives of the most relevant companies committed with the developing of new diagnostic and therapeutic tools for combating fungal infections.

Starting in 2020 INFOCUS will alternate with the ECMM TIMM conference, and take place every even-year, while TIMM will take place every odd-year, with ECMM supporting INFOCUS and vice versa.

The 17th INFOCUS this year is around the corner and will run in parallel with the 1st ISHAM Latin America Congress in Salvador, between November 14 and 16, 2019.
