International ID summer school for European undergraduate medical students – Faculty of Medicine Paris Descartes, 28 August-1 September 2017


This summer the Faculty of Medicine Paris Descartes is organizing for the first time an International ID summer school for European undergraduate medical students. It is coordinated by Caroline Charlier Associate Professor in our Department.
We hope you may wish to disseminate the information to your students and send us the most talented and motivated ones:

What is it: this summerschool is part of  IDEAL, Infectious Diseases Europe Africa Learning, an Erasmus-funded International Program that we are currently running together with the Università Cattolica di Roma, the University of Antwerpen, the University of Edinburgh and 2 Ugandan universities in Gulu and Mother Kevin Medical School of Nsambya, Kampala) .

When is it: 1 week : from Monday afternoon 28th August untill the Friday 1st September evening.

What is the program : the course will be hold in English to a small group of maximum 20 students from all Europe. it will be devoted to”Emergencies in Infectious Diseases”, and based on interactive classes and high fidelity and procedural simulation on high fidelity mannequins at our Simulation University Platform. ( The course will be organized by an international team of teachers from all involved partners (5 European and African countries).

Fees: 500 euros for the whole week and include accommodation, breakfast, lunch and 2 dinners.

We believe this very innovative program will be of great interest for students and meet their needs for practical approach and global teaching.
