On behalf of the French Society of Parasitology (SFP), the French Society of Medical Mycology (SFMM), we are pleased to announce that the new edition of the joint annual congress of the French Societies of Medical Mycology and Parasitology will be held from Tuesday June 21 to Friday June 24, 2022, at the UFR Santé of the University of Rouen-Normandy, located in the very heart of the city of Rouen.
It was jointly organized by the Parasitology and Medical Mycology teams of Caen, Reims and Rouen, and the FHU Respire with the support of many sponsors whom we thank very much.
During the four days of the congress, 250 to 300 scientific participants, doctors, pharmacists and veterinarians are expected to come and listen to the speakers and to present their latest fundamental or applied research work and their experience of medical practice in parasitology or medical mycology. The program selected by the scientific committee will focus on various topical themes in mycology and parasitology and will lead to lively and interactive debates. It will offer particular visibility to vector-borne diseases, new omic technologies, diagnostic and therapeutic news in the field of human and/or veterinary parasitology-mycology. In addition, the content of the congress will also highlight recent data concerning Pneumocystis jiroveci, but also fungal biofilms, the epidemiology and treatment of fungal infections in patients with respiratory failure as well as an update on the diagnosis and treatment of dermatophytosis.
We hope that this congress will also be an opportunity for moments of relaxation and friendly exchanges.
We are counting on your presence to make this congress a success and we look forward to welcoming you in the summer of 2022 to Rouen, the Norman capital and historic city where Gustave Flaubert and Charles Nicolle were born.
