WIM/WOMYC survey on Career Development
03-07-2026
Dear colleagues,
Women in Mycology (WIM) by MSGERC and Women for Mycology (WOMYC) have joined forces to launch a global survey on career development and workplace experiences in medical mycology, and we warmly invite you to take part.
Across our field, the factors shaping career progression, mentorship and sponsorship, access to leadership, institutional support, and caregiving responsibilities, remain poorly characterized. This survey aims to capture that reality systematically, across professions, career stages, and regions, so we can move from anecdote to evidence and direct concrete action.
It is open to everyone in medical mycology, clinicians, scientists, veterinarians, pharmacists, and trainees; women and men; at every career stage and in every part of the world.
The survey is fully anonymous, takes ~11 minutes, and is analyzed and published only in aggregated form. Your insights will directly inform programs within MSGERC, ECMM, and ISHAM toward a more equitable and inclusive mycology community.
The survey is open until 31 July 2026.

This is a joint initiative of WIM and WOMYC, supported by MSGERC, ECMM, and ISHAM. Thank you for being part of this effort and please share it widely with your networks.
