I am a medical doctor specialized in Infectious and Tropical Diseases and currently pursuing a PhD in Infectious Diseases at the University of Genoa. My main research interest is the management of infections in immunocompromised patients, especially those with hematologic malignancies. I graduated cum laude in Medicine from the University of Siena and completed my specialty training in Infectious Diseases with a thesis on fluconazole resistance in Candida parapsilosis bloodstream infections at University of Genoa.

I have enriched my training with international experiences, including a four-month internship at Hospital Gregorio Marañón in Madrid and a full-time Medical Mycology course at Institut Pasteur in Paris. I have authored 18 scientific publications, with 5 as first author, and participated in several national and international congresses.

My research mainly focuses on invasive fungal infections, antifungal therapy, and antimicrobial resistance. I actively contribute as a peer reviewer for high-impact journals. I am a member of ESCMID, EFISG, ESGICH, ESGCIP, and Italian infectious disease societies. I am passionate about bridging clinical practice and academic research and eager to collaborate internationally to advance the field of medical mycology.
