Estefanía Ochoa Toasa

I am an ecuadorean physician specialized in Clinical Pathology and with a master’s degree in medical microbiology. I have about 8 years of experience in the field of microbiology and during this time in different facets I have experience working with the community and directly with health workers. On the other hand, I have been actively involved in academia for the same period with different careers that train health personnel. Each of these experiences has allowed me to develop a strong interest in public health and the contribution from the diagnostic part and the health of vulnerable sectors.

Personally, I am a dedicated and responsible person in any assigned activity. In the different roles in which I have worked, the challenges I have faced have allowed me to gain experience to manage programs that benefit the community. I have different tools for health promotion, as well as a work network in ​​microbiology suitable for seeking inter-institutional cooperation if necessary.

My main interest are to develop medical mycology in Ecuador and impulse this great medical specialty to be better physicians for our patients.
