I’m an Infectious Diseases clinician working at Necker Hospital in Paris, where we primarily care for severely immunocompromised patients (patients with HIV, haematological malignancy, solid-organ transplant recipients, and patients with primary immunodeficiency). I’m also currently a PhD student at the Centre for Research in Epidemiology and Statistics (CRESS) and at the National Reference Centre for Mycoses and Antifungals at Institut Pasteur, Paris, where we aim to evaluate the risk of bias in non-randomised studies in the field of medical mycology. We’re looking to design a methodological framework to address some unanswered treatment questions in medical mycology using target trial emulation. One of my other research interests is the diagnosis and treatment of HIV-associated fungal infections in Sub-Saharan Africa, and I’m currently involved in a screen-and-treat project for disseminated histoplasmosis among HIV-positive individuals in Cameroun, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinée Conakry (the HASTE project, ANRS0673)
