Priyadarshini Padaki

Dr. Priyadarshini. A. Padaki is an Assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology at St. Johns Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, India. Born and raised in Bangalore, she has always been immensely passionate about studying medicine from an early age. She successfully completed MBBS from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore and MD Microbiology from CMC Vellore. While having an enriching teaching experience (coming from her beloved students) during her tenure at St Johns Medical College, she has also worked on fungal infections. Her research interests include fungal infections, neglected tropical diseases and diagnostic lab assays for infectious diseases with special interest for molecular diagnosis. She is currently part of ICMR- Advanced Mycology Diagnostic and Research Centre (South Zone) at St. John’s. She has worked on several research projects in Mycology, Aspergillus galactomannan lateral flow assay, molecular diagnosis for Mucorales, ABPA, biomarkers for invasive fungal infections.
